About Motion Bay
This opportunity is managed by Motion Bay. The role description below is the approved source for its outcomes, requirements, working arrangement, and candidate journey.
The role
We are hiring a Show Runner (Producer) to manage a batch production workflow from script through final delivery. You will run the script pipeline, review and lock scripts before generation, run frame/audio/video generation stages, assign episodes to Filmmakers, monitor progress on the Production Board, review completed cuts, give notes or approve client-ready episodes, and coordinate delivery to Frame.io.
What success looks like
- Scripts are consistently approved or returned with clear, actionable notes; locked scripts are production-ready.
- Episodes move through the Production Board on schedule with visible status updates and minimal rework.
- Final cuts meet the required quality standard and are delivered to Frame.io on time.
- Resource usage, schedule slippage, and quality issues are identified and corrected proactively.
What you will own
- Running the script review pipeline and approving/locking scripts for generation.
- Overseeing frame, audio, and video generation stages and resolving pipeline issues.
- Assigning episodes to Filmmakers and tracking episode progress on the Production Board.
- Conducting Showrunner Reviews / Final Cut reviews; returning episodes with notes or approving client-ready episodes.
- Coordinating final delivery to Frame.io and maintaining delivery checklists.
- Managing schedule, output quality, and resource discipline across the production batch.
What you need
- Able to engage under a contractor agreement and work the production schedule as agreed.
- Demonstrable ability to review scripts for format, story coherence, originality, dialogue quality, and production readiness (see CV criteria and assessment).
- Experience overseeing production stages (frame/audio/video generation) and making go/no-go decisions.
- Proven ability to provide clear, actionable notes and to approve or return completed cuts.
- Experience tracking and reporting episode status on a Production Board.
Useful, not required
- Familiarity with Frame.io or other delivery/asset-management platforms.
- Experience with production-tracking tools or boards and basic scheduling techniques.
- Prior producer/showrunner or similar production-management experience.
What we offer
- Contractor engagement to manage the production system for a defined batch. Note: submissions that are not accepted do not count toward payment.
- A defined scope of responsibility focused on script approval, production oversight, final review, and delivery coordination.
Access and accommodations
- We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations during the application, assessment, and interview process. If you need adjustments (format, timing, or tools), please let us know when you apply so we can arrange them.
The skills assessment
